We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, on a onetime basis, if You or Your Traveling Companion are delayed for 12 hours or more due to a collision or mechanical breakdown that prevents continued driving of: (a) Your Covered Vehicle; or (b) a Rental Car You rent while on Your Trip for: 1. Reasonable Additional Expenses incurred by You or Your Traveling Companion until travel becomes possible; 2. towing costs incurred to transport the disabled vehicle to a repair shop (does not apply to Rented Cars) the cost to rent a vehicle while the vehicle is being repaired. A repair bill must substantiate the breakdown; 3. Rental Car expenses to return You to Your place of lodging or to Your Primary Residence if Your Covered Vehicle is disabled and cannot be repaired within 72 hours. This benefit ceases the earlier of: 1) the time Your vehicle is repaired or substituted, or 2) Your return to Your Primary Residence. The following Exclusions apply to this Vehicle Breakdown or Disablement Benefit: 1. theft or vandalism of Your Covered Vehicle; 2. Any loss to or arising from a commercial or non-private passenger vehicle. Documentation of the time delay from the Rental Car agency and emergency road service provider, and all receipts for Reasonable Additional Expenses incurred during the service window must be provided. This benefit does not reimburse for any services covered by a roadside assistance company. These benefit(s) will not duplicate any other benefits payable under the policy or any coverage(s) attached to the policy.
