Travel Protection Plan
A medical emergency can strike anywhere in the world. International medical evacuations can cost $50,000...or more. Your U.S. health plan may provide little or no coverage for these expenses. For example, Medicare may not cover you outside the U.S.
You can see why Emergency Medical Evacuation coverage is important. The Emergency Medical Evacuation benefit will pay reasonable charges for evacuation required by a Physician, for your covered Injury or Sickness. All evacuations require advance notification to the Worldwide Assistance Center.
Coverage also includes the cost of: A return airfare home if not covered elsewhere; Roundtrip airfare for a person to travel to, and return with you (if you are hospitalized for more than 7 days); Sending your unaccompanied minors home; and In the event of your death, preparing and sending your remains home.
For complete information, see the Description of Coverage.
